UKIP's Nigel Farage survives plane crash as millions turn up to vote

Election day in the U.K has been marked by a minor plane crash involving a former political party leader. UK independence party leader Nigel Farage was on board the two seater aircraft which was carrying a banner when it had to make an emergency landing in Northamptonshire. Meanwhile, Voters in the UK are going to the polls in what's set to be one of the most tightly-contested British general elections in decades. Latest opinion polls put the Conservatives ahead with the Liberal Democrats and Labour neck and neck. But the election may result in a hung parliament if no party gains enough seats to win an outright majority.
