Cololmbian workers rescued after being buried in mud

Two men survived 20 minutes underground after they were buried in a mudslide while working on a pipeline in Cali, Colombia on Monday (October 22).

Television Images showed coworkers and rescue personnel frantically digging through the mud to find the men.

Police were on the site to help, and the workers eventually pulled both the men to safety.

One of the workers, Carlos Balanta, said the slide took them by surprise.

Paramedics treated the men at the site of the slide and both were reported to be recovering well at a local hospital.
