Time on my hands - Chris Lawton at St Alban's Church, Becontree, London

Another of me playing the fine Compton organ at St Alban's Church in Becontree, Essex.

The John Compton Organ Company Ltd were of course famous for their cinema organs and at the time this organ manufactured the company would have been busy with many orders for cinemas as well. I have played many Compton church pipe organs but none so far have come as close to sounding like a 'sister cinema organ' than this one so rather than do a hymn, I decided to something to demonstrate just what a versatile instrument this is so here is the lovely old time number 'Time on my hands'.
