I currently live in the St. Louis, Missouri area but I enjoy traveling whenever I can. Campers have easier times getting into the best campgrounds when demand is lower, prices may be lower and there are fewer campers around making noise and disturbing the peace that most campers are seeking anyway. Before you take off, be sure to call around in the areas you want to visit. The best campgrounds in the area are likely to be open all year, but there is no guarantee. When you have an RV, it’s not like you’re roughing it anyway. Put it to good use. Hiking and biking in cooler weather, or roasting marshmallows over an open fire in cooler temperatures sure beats the heck out of trying to do it during the Summer when it’s 100 degrees outside. One thing you might not have thought of is that you can access some of the prime camping sites and venues that are usually filled up quickly in the summer because of the beautiful land and scenery around them.
