TIFF just wouldn't be TIFF without the annual Canadian Film Centre (CFC) BBQ hosted by Norman Jewison, right? Okay, in case you haven't heard of this one, I'll give you a primer...
The CFC was started in 1988 by Jewison – you know, the director behind such classics as In The Heat of the Night, The Thomas Crown Affair (the original), Fiddler on the Roof, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Moonstruck among others – to foster the development of the Canadian filmographic landscape, providing mentoring, education and guidance to students in most areas of film production. Since its inception, the CFC has seen over 1,000 graduates of their various programs.
