Increased dependence on Mayawati & Mulayam Singh

Antagonising their ally, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has put United Progressive Alliance (UPA) in a precarious situation. The Government is now struggling to keep their head over water with added dependence on Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) combine. While Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati have decided to give outside support to the ruling coalition, giving it the necessary cushion, losing support of either party could plunge the UPA into a minority.
