Exhibition devoted to singer David Bowie breaks records

David Bowie has done it again.

After breaking the mould in the 70s as the otherworldly "Ziggy Stardust", the 66-year-old singer is now breaking box office records.

"David Bowie Is", a new exhibition at London's Victoria and Albert Museum devoted to thsystem.scripts.e musician's long and inspiring career, has already sold 50,000 advance tickets.

The multi-media show features more than 300 objects, including the stage costumes which allowed Bowie to adopt alternative, mysterious personas.

Curator Victoria Broackes calls Bowie a "cultural entity" who has endured the test of time.
