Daniel Bradish (2021/3/10) I wrote this song as I reflected back on parenting 3 children. __________________________________________ I tried to do everything right questioning every move, as if I had to prove with a few sleepless nights There were days when I was a hero but on some other days, well I just checked out Today I raise a toast, it's too soon to boast with these familiar doubts No-one's perfect, all the same, who's to blame? what's this game? can't help but think, how do I win? so I ask myself Where did I go wrong? Was it yesterday or last week sometime Got all the past running through my mind Where did I go wrong? 10 years ago on a Monday Or was it right from the start So I'll just come to terms with all of my choices, but Who would make straight all the things I bent? Maybe in the end, they'd just bend again impossible to prevent Nothing's so broken that God cannot fix it I can't help but wonder why He'd use us at all is this some kinda test?, I'll give my best and answer the call I look ahead fight regret, pay my debt, or just forget? not over yet but I keep askin' the wrong questions, like [chorus] and it pierced through my heart but I bled and I cried, just provin' I tried, oh I tried, yes I tried
