Audiovisual on 'Esteles' (Led Tails), an interactive installation that visualizes pedestrians paths/actions in a public space by proposing a reflection on the interaction between people and public space. 14 infrared sensors detect people passing by, codifying the information into a wall with 80 handmade led's lights, embedded in resin. All control is done by installing a Peggy2.1 motherboard programmed with Arduino. 'Esteles' won the 1st prize in Public Project 2008 and has been produced by artAtTheLab at Anne Frank square, in the Gracia district, Barcelona. Authors: Marcel Bilurbina, Pau Sugranyes, Raúl Díaz. Audiovisual realized by Enric Recoder, Teresa Duran, Sakari Laurila & Xavi Satorra in 2009 http://www.artatthelab.com http://www.thevisualsuspects.net
