Words stuck inside the mouth

The project “Words stuck inside the mouth” is an attempt to comprehend the phenomenon of struggling with words as a basic human behavior. This project was carried out between 2016 and 2017, as the starting point from what my artistic investigation is currently heading to. Overall, It is a set of multi-screen projections, arranged as a video-installation that consisted of two conceptual parts: the first part involved performances pieces that exposed my body to the inability of speaking, aiming for understanding the limits of language through my corporal sensibility. The second part was made of short documentaries films and video-poetry about my relationship with my parents, and our communicative issues. Ultimately, this was an ode to my stuttering. I started this project with the realization that I do art because I feel that language fails me, and that my own struggle with words is a fertile field for my creativity.
